The weather is hot, the pool is cool and time spent outside is in order. A few friends and family are joining the fun. What to feed the crowd? Since we are Southern Beach People, we want seafood. We choose a southern classic- Crawfish Boil!
A recipe is not needed..
Ingredients:
A large Pot, water, small red potatoes, fresh corn on the cob, andouille sausage, Cajun seasoning ( we like this one)

Now… we need the Crawfish and shrimp. Although we are Southern Beach People, we live in the Midwest. Fresh seafood is not easy to come by. We found this at Walmart.

The shell on shrimp adds to the fun (and mess!)
Put it together: slice sausage, cut corn in large pieces, cut potatoes in half, fill pot with water, bring to a boil, season to taste. Put potatoes and sausage in – cook until almost done, toss in corn and shrimp, Cook until shrimp is pink. Emtpy in Crawfish. Cook a few minutes until crawfish are hot- drain and put on a big platter!
Add salads, beer and lots of napkins!
Eat a crawfish? How? Pull the head off and suck out the juicy juice! ( I skip this step!) Pull tail off, crack the shell and pull out the meat, pop into your mouth! Repeat. Many times!
